OUR STORY

From a small relay team to Silicon Valley's largest running community. This is the story of Too Legit Fitness.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN MVP

In March 2011, Bertrand Newson organized a 4-person relay team for the Oakland Running Festival. What started as a casual gathering of friends quickly became something transformative.

That same year, Becky Hernandez joined the team, bringing new energy and vision that accelerated the group's growth. Together, they built a community focused on one simple idea: fitness, healthy living, and camaraderie.

Today, Too Legit Fitness has grown to over 1,000 members across the Bay Area, making it one of the largest running communities in Silicon Valley.

STRONGER AS ONE

Our philosophy is simple: we're stronger together. Too Legit Fitness welcomes members from all different walks of life and different ability levels.

Whether you're training for your first 5K, chasing a Boston Marathon qualifying time, or just looking for a supportive community to run with, you'll find your place here.

From casual joggers to Ironman competitors, our tribe celebrates every mile and every finish line.
